Exclusive events during the festival weekend: Book free tickets for the BBC Radio Orkney Live Lounge, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Early ticket access: Buy tickets in advance of the general sale. You can book for one event per programme timeslot. This means you can buy tickets across the weekend, but not for two events happening at the same time.
10% off festival merchandise: Save money on your Orkney Folk Festival merchandise, excluding tickets and artist merchandise.
Discounts on your travel to Orkney, subject to annual sponsorship: We work with NorthLink Ferries to provide discounts between mainland Scotland and Orkney. Their sponsorship is on a year-by-year basis. Discounts on travel to Orkney from Mainland Scotland pending annual sponsorship being approved by NorthLink Ferries. The availability of this benefit will be confirmed with Orkney Friends members as soon as possible each year.

Membership levels

We have five levels of Orkney Friends membership, so groups can buy tickets together:

There's no cap on the number of children's tickets Friends can buy, as long as it's within the available event capacity.

Memberships last for 12 months.
